Thank you for stopping by, we are thrilled you are here! The goal of this site is to help you find resources and information about the legal process and system.
I am Holly Waltman, the owner of The Waltman Firm LLC. I am a Georgia native and I established this firm in 2015, with one purpose: to give someone facing a serious and life-changing situation the peace of mind that they have a fierce advocate in their corner.
I have handled thousands of cases from speeding tickets, drug offenses, complex felony charges such as murder and aggravated assault, etc., in various jurisdictions all over the state. I have had countless hours of facetime in front of judges that range the gamut from liberal to ultra-conservative on State and Superior and Federal levels.
I’d love to represent you and I promise to give you my undivided attention, to actively listen to all of your concerns, and do everything in my power to get the best possible outcome. Let’s schedule a time to discuss your case.

A Passionate Advocate
A diverse litigator with thousands of hearings under her belt, Holly is a Fourth Amendment expert with substantial expertise in criminal drug cases, federal civil asset forfeitures, as well as major felony cases.
Holly is considered to be one of the top 40 attorneys under 40 in the State of Georgia by The National Trial Lawyers Association, where membership is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications.
Additionally, Holly is a Georgia Rising Star, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Georgia receive this distinction. She was also selected by Attorney and Practice Magazine as one of Georgia’s top 10 Attorneys in criminal defense. She is a graduate of the GACDL-(Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers) – Bill Daniels Trial Advocacy Program where she was trained by 25 of the nation’s top trial attorneys.
Extensive Felony Trial Experience
Holly found her love for criminal law as an Assistant Conflict Defender for the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit, where she managed not one, but two Superior courtrooms simultaneously, specializing in criminal defense for complex felony cases.
Holly has tried countless jury trials for clients charged with complex felony charges such as sex crimes, armed robbery, murder, and drug trafficking. She also developed and managed the intern program at the Conflict Defender’s office and finds training younger attorneys very rewarding.
Holly started her career at The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. In this office, she argued numerous motions and was afforded the opportunity to try her first felony jury trials. This makes her a unique Criminal Defense Attorney, as she knows exactly how the prosecution is building their case before it ever goes to trial.
State Court Defense Work
After the District Attorney’s Office, Holly worked in the State Court of Henry County in Chief Judge Ben Studdard’s courtroom, providing defense for clients charged with misdemeanor offenses such as marijuana possession, DUI, and domestic violence charges.
Holly was educated in Georgia and received her undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Economics from Georgia Southern University. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, where she served as a peer mentor to younger law students. At graduation, Holly was recognized with The Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears Award for the highest overall pro bono hours in her law school class.
When Holly is not in the courtroom zealously fighting for justice, she enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and snow skiing. Holly also volunteers with local animal shelters and is a member of Buckhead Church.
I met Holly at traffic court today and asked if she was an attorney because she had that lawyerish look about her. She replied yes so I asked her to represent me at my appearance today. After reading my citation and asking a couple questions she gave me instructions on what to do and told me if this doesn’t work then call me. Well I’m writing this to say it worked out in my favor,s he saved me money and time !
Thanks Holly….I’ll definitely refer you to anyone who needs representation.
Holly represented me in a series of charges that stemmed from my addiction. As a law school graduate myself, I was facing serious and multiple felony charges that could have resulted in a maximum of 70+ years of incarceration. Holly was there every step of the way for me, through treatment, sober living, a divorce, and transitioning out of that environment to be in the real world living a sober and successful life. Holly even believed in me when I didnt believe in myself. I have never met a person that took the time to cry with their client after finding out that I would be accepted into drug court instead of being incarcerated. She stayed on me to do the right thing, ever reminding me that we all make mistakes. The difference is what you are willing to do about those mistakes to correct them. Holly Waltman is an amazing attorney, and a compassionate human being. I am truly blessed to have had Holly represent me in the worst part of my life. Now I am in the best part of my life and still sober, looking forward instead of over my shoulder. I owe most of that to Holly and her persistence in staying beside me every step…We all need someone like that once in a while, and she’s that person.
Holly Waltman is a crackerjack legal professional with excellent communication skills and expertise. She represented a member of my family in a superspeeder case and secured the best-case scenario outcome. Totally worth her reasonable representation fee. She also has provided brief legal consultation for my family on a couple occasions, helping to make all the difference. I very strongly recommend that, if you are on the fence, *talk to Ms. Waltman* well in advance of any court arraignment. She will help you resolve your legal matter rapidly, efficiently, and with the best possible outcome, and she will make you so, so glad you secured her advice or representation when the time comes.
I have used Holly on a few occasions already from items like doing a Personal Will to Civil matters and for my business. I’m always impressed on her timeliness to get the matters resolved and the outcome of the whatever the situation was I needed her assistance in. I will continue to use her and her firm for all my future needs. I highly recommend them to friends and customers who ask me “who do you use for your legal needs”
